I thought I was beggining to find my own peace with myself, but it seems that I just keep loosely clinging to others for comfort. Keeping myself at a safe distance from whatever it is I need to get over.

What am I actually tracking here? and I mean what can this possibly describe about me? Random strings of thought or is there insight into something more here?

13:31
what was the point of this project?
to write down thoughts that go unsaid
13:32
13:32
why did you think it is important to do that?
well the core of it is very subjective or personal, I felt I was constantly shutting myself up before I would even figure out what I want to say. Judging whether an idea is good or bad before the idea even begins to take shape
13:36
13:37
and writing it down does what?
it puts a crack in the silence. It doesn't necesarrily break it cause you're still not saying anything, but at least you fish something out of there
13:40
13:41
it's like magnet fishing, you get a lot of trash stuck to your magnet
it's actually exactly how it went
13:41
13:57
so did magnet fishing a lot of trash out of your head help you clear it up in any way?
I guess in some way. With writing stuff down you don't really remove it from your head, it's more like fishing something out before throwing it back in. You don't make the canal cleaner, you just know what's in there better
14:00
14:02
there's this thing people say, if you pick up something up from the ground and then throw it back down, then it's technically you littering
sure, what does that have to do with this though?
14:03
14:08
I don't know, anyway, I don't even know you, so why would I care about your droppings from your trains of thought? Is there any objective layer to this or do you just talk about yourself the whole time?
Well ideally I would've liked these thoughts to form some sort narrative of their own over time, and pick it up from there. Instead I was confronted with how boring they actually were. You know the title of 'saying the unsaid' sounds kind of intriguing until you realise there's a reason you're not saying that shit in the first place
14:32
14:33
So is it a failure then? Your project?
Well the project is about the infra-ordinary—"that which is generally not taken note of, that which is not noticed, that which has no importance", and that's in a way exactly what I'm gathering, so I don't know if I can call it a failure just yet
14:39
14:40
Hmm
Also, you said that you don't know me, but you literally exist only in the same space as the most uncurated produce of my brain matter. For now you exist nowhere else, only here, so in a way you know me better than anyone else.
14:44
14:45
fuck you and your brain matter
Glad we're on the same page
14:45
15:02
so should we try to get to the bottom of this?
yes, just a bit later
19:07
19:09
Oh there he goes, well it's not like I'm gonna go anywhere

Something I bring up in one of the notes as well is that most of the more coherent or interesting ideas would come to me in situations where either I'm physically unable to write them down, or just don't care enough to go out of my way to do it, by the time I can do it they're usually vanished.
But if they're coherent or interesting then you would probably have no problem saying them out loud as well, wouldn't that kind of defeat the whole point of your project?
19:46
20:01
that's true, you know it's kind of silly, the most interesting or meaningful parts of the project are explicitly the ones which are not present here. The star of the show is not the notes but all the blank spaces in between them.
the treasure at the bottom of the canal stays intact while you're out here gathering and showing all the rusty nuts and bolts and bike parts and whatnot
20:04
20:37
but neither of us care about the nuts and bolts, and the tresure is as much down there at the bottom as it is up here with me
